Serotonin Syndrome Discover Could 150 Mg Of Trazodone And 10 Mg Of Flexeril Cause Serotonin Syndrome?

Could 150 mg of Trazodone and 10 mg of Flexeril cause Serotonin Syndrome? - serotonin syndrome discover

Two nights ago I had 150 mg of trazodone and 10 mg of Flexeril to get rid of insomnia and restless legs syndrome. It was not until tonight that I read the serotonin syndrome, and therefore finds that it sounds exactly like that, what was my reaction to medication used.

About half an hour after it took trazodone, I began to panic. I felt like in another world - as if she had disappeared into the rabbit hole or something. My eyes widen, I screamed at the top of my lungs, and I asked my mother to call 911th I was sure I would die. Everything was strange and unfamiliar, even my room. It was as if somewhere at home, but was not there. I started to black, then came to her senses, sat on the sofa, curled in a fetal position. Finally, I managed to sleep in the bed.

I still feel a little strange reality, and so on - but only for two days, so I hope that these effects disappear.

Has anyone a little clarity? Thank you!

Cyclobenzaprine is structurally related to the first generation tricyclic antidepressants such as imipramine and amitriptyline. So within 14 days after completion of therapy with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or serotonergic antidepressants (SSRIs, for example), because the risk of Hyperserotonemia ( "serotonin syndrome") [3] are used.

Trazodone is a psychoactive compound with sedative, anxiety-and antidepressant properties.

A psychoactive drug or psychotropic substance is a chemical that acts primarily on the central nervous system where it alters brain function, which cause temporary changes in perception, mood, consciousness and behavior.

This is a copy paste from Wikipedia, please read more of this drug on wikipedia.org

The symptoms of distress is more likely (in my opinion is, no doubt) on flexeril. Although the dose is low, a person who has not taken any psychoactive drug may be an increased response (symptoms) experience.

Even when I was a little unsure why your doctor has prescribed Trazodone I can, I understand his reasons.

Aka Cyclobenzaprine Flexeril, in my opinion is all that is required for the termination of RLS, and although I am not a doctor and please do not take my opinion as a medical diagnosis.

If I did not make me worry about the reaction, but I mention this to the doctor and ask whether this drug (trazodone) is really necessary and flexeril drug is an effective treatment for the syndrome.

I hope that helps.
